Welcome to the So Suzy Crackerbox Palace Blog Hop!
For those of you who are new to So Suzy Stamps, I am the Suzy behind the So Suzy; the snark, the silliness and swirls are all So Suzy! It’s hard to believe that April 1st of 2017 I handed over the “proverbial” keys of So Suzy Stamps to John and Vicky of Crackerbox Palace. It is a time that feels so surreal! Was it a lifetime ago or just yesterday? 12 months? Really? That’s it?
So many things have transpired since then and yet, the people I have met during this creative journey of mine have remained a steadfast pillar of sanity in my life. For those of you I have had the privilege of knowing these past years, THANK YOU! Without you I would truly be a lesser person and so much more boring! During this past year, I have embraced the “non-boring” lifestyle, that’s for sure!
I have narrated audio books, ramped up my podcast, jumped feet first into the Kit and Clowder coloring classes, fell in love with Bullet Journaling, got super sick where I am still struggling with my voice and laughing is ridiculously painful AND I learned how to paint galaxies! OMG, can I just say that I am stupid ridiculous at making them? As in, it’s the only way I make cards now and I am LOVING IT! I also started working full time at our local police station and I have to tell you, ladies, I had the utmost respect before I started working for the police department, but now, HOLY MOLY MACARONI! THESE are the bomdiggityshizznits of the world!!! I am truly LOVING working there.
It’s weird not working from home, which I have been doing since 2004, but I completely love it. They appreciate the snark and I still get to incorporate it into my new life, plus I am able to make cards for people…YES, I actually made some birthday cards…ok, maybe ONE card, but still, it’s one more than before!
I was also able to maintain my snark status by continuing our Snarkfest Legacy on our Snarky Stampers Facebook page and I think my most favorite stamp that came out of this year’s Snarkfest was:
I couldn’t help but make my son a galaxy card with this sentiment! Seriously, how fun is this? It’s snarky, it’s funny and so ME! Thankfully, my children share my humor and it was his favorite card other than the Monkey Hugs card I made him several years ago.
Bottomline, thank you to everyone who decided to join in on the hop and see all of the amazing cards everyone made. The next person on the hop is Miss Maria (Mary) Elena Castilla and I hope you enjoy her cards and fun shenanigans!
