I use my Bunkie Bags for so many different uses, it’s not even funny. From storing my handmade cards, carrying my crafting supplies, using them as a gift bag for Baby Showers and so much more. Not only do I have a few pictures, a post on how I use my Bunkie Bags, but we also have the Prepare Your Go Bag Podcast, which is all about Bunkie Bags, what to take with you to card classes, retreats and crafty get togethers. Which is one of the ways I use my Bunkie and Tote bag from Simply Charming Bags.
Mid-April, a few of my girlfriends and I got out of the house and went to the Wines of the San Juan to enjoy some much needed girl time and soak up some sun. Hard to believe it was in the 70’s and now we are at 42 degrees in MAY! Really??? #Foolishness
Since we had plans to take over the winery with our random stamping and coloring, we loaded up our Bunkies, MISTI Zip Pouches and Tote Bags for the trip. I love how each of our bags tells a story about “us”. Flora, with her fabulous purple Fairy Tote and matching MISTI Zip Pouch, me with my menagerie of Totes and Paris themed Bunkie from our All Around the World Card Retreat (Mom, I REALLY need a matching set FYI), Janis and her elegant and subdued floral Bunkie and Misty with her skulls and roses. It is so nice to be able to request a custom bag with fabric that matches our personality. It’s not just a bag, it’s a part of YOU.
This is my bag unloaded…just one of them. I brought so much stuff with me, it wasn’t even funny! We had the entire place to ourselves with peacocks roaming, a poor poochie that had seen better days and a few guineas kept us company while we stamped, colored, laughed and had an incredibly relaxing day. And YES, the entire set of Tombow Markers fit great in the bottom of one of the Totes, PLUS it had room for my inks and a variety of other supplies.
Here is one of the scenes I created during our girly day.
Along with dragging my Bunkie with me out and about, the traditional Bunkie Bag is great for toting your goodies with you to card classes, keeping your Bullet Journal with your pens, Washi Tape, ruler and other supplies together PLUS it does a great job of holding a book, sunglasses, your phone and soda to head out to the back porch for some killer reading time! I have even put my Copics in one for easy traveling.
Here is one of my favorite Bunkie Bags with a few things I keep in it for going to classes.
All the Bunkies from our Retreat in 2014. We had stamps, catalogs, marshmallow guns, marshmallows, tape, Dimensionals and so many more items that everyone would need to make cards.
