Have you seen the new Foil-Mates from Gina K and Thermoweb? The first time I saw them in action was at the 2017 Creativation in Phoenix and I instantly fell in LOVE! Talk about a quick and easy way to make a card that had a bit of bling and a ton of personality. When I received a box of foil goodness I just about DIED and this past week I got a chance to do a heck of a lot of playing.
It was cold and rainy and I just wanted to see how they all worked so I fired up my laminator and had a ball just foiling the Foil-Mate backgrounds. It was seriously so easy I wanted to cry! I had Summer Rainbow and Lapis Watercolor foil transfer sheets from Thermo-Web so I played with those first.
Before we go to much further, let me give you a bit of a background of what Foil-Mates are. Essentially, they are toner sheets that you can use with foil and any laminator. Each Foil-Mates pack comes with 10 sheets of 2 designs (5 each) and they are 5.5″ x 8.5″ so you can literally get 2 whole cards out of one sheet OR if you cut them into sections you can get 4 cards out of one sheet, which could mean 40 cards!!
For those of you who have to do a ton of cards, this is a no-brainer and it’s FAST!
Not only does she have the background images, she also has SENTIMENTS!
How incredibly cool is THAT?! Simply place the foil over the Foil-Mates, place it into the protective parchment sleeve and run it through the laminator. You have instant foil funness!
I am seriously in love with the Summer Rainbow foil and I combined the star background with the Birthday Essentials Foil-Mates. The sentiment sheets have 12 sheets (6 sheets of each design) and each sheet has 3 sentiments. So you are looking at 36 CARDS!
The other cool addition to the Foil-Mates line is the coordinating dies. As you can see in the image above, she has a double-stitched and a single stitched nested die set. For this card, I used both the Large and Small Oval Wafer Dies.
The large die gives you a small 1/8″ border around the smaller and it just adds so much to the card.
I cannot tell you how excited I am to have these available to make cards with. I have decided to get my butt in gear and start making cards to send out to people again and so far this month, I have 7 birthday cards to mail out! Guess what they will be getting? 🙂

If you have had a chance to play with the new Foil-Mates, what is your favorite pack? I am dying to play with Elegant Florals, so maybe that will be the next batch of cards I will make!
Until next time,
